BREAKING: STIPE MIOCIC OUT OF UFC FIGHT NIGHT 76 CO-MAIN EVENT AGAINST BEN ROTHWELL

MMAOddsBreaker.com can now formally confirm UFC Heavyweight Stipe Miocic was forced out of his forthcoming UFC Fight Night 76 bout against Ben Rothwell because of an unspecified training injury. Both top 10 fighters were scheduled to throw in the co-main occasion of following Saturday’s (October 24, 2015) event in Dublin, Ireland, which will be headlined by the lightweight battle between Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier and will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. Miocic (#3 ranked HW) was coming off the most impressive performance of his career, a fifth round TKO stoppage of former title challenger Mark Hunt where he place a UFC heavyweight record for most strikes landed in one struggle. He’s won four of his last five fights with his only loss being a decision against former champion Junior dos Santos. Rothwell (#7 rated HW) is currently riding a three-fight win series which comprised surprising first round upset stoppage victories over both Matt Mitrione and Alistair Overeem. There’s been no word as to when Rothwell will be forced off the battle card entirely or whether or not UFC matchmakers will be able to get a last minute replacement.
